We often see signs on the ground in some large or small places that read "No Standing or Stacking Shelves Under Fire Facilities." The primary purpose of installing fire doors is that if a fire occurs in a certain area, the rolling shutter door can be lowered to block the spread of the flames.

Typically, fire doors in such large buildings are equipped with an automatic central control system. Once a fire occurs, this system can automatically initiate a series of actions, causing the fire doors to automatically lower and separate the flames.

Below is the automatic control process of fire doors. When a fire occurs, smoke detectors installed on the roof initially detect the presence of smoke and simultaneously send an alarm to the central control system. The fire center control system, after recognition, connects the power supply to the fire doors at the location of the fire alarm, causing the fire-resistant rolling shutters in the fire area to descend to the ground at the required speed.

When the rolling shutter has descended to a position approximately 1.5 meters above the ground, it will pause its activity to facilitate the dispersal and retreat of employees on-site. After all related employees have evacuated, the fire door will continue to descend until closed. The rate at which the fire door descends and the duration of stay can be adjusted based on the number of employees present.

Fire doors are not only installed in such locations, but also in stairwells and corridors. Since fires occur very rarely, some fire protection measures are effectively used. Therefore, it is essential to have dedicated staff regularly inspect these conditions.
